Sam is an award-winning Australian composer based in Sydney, specialising in music for television, film, documentaries and video games.

With extensive experience across Australian and international screen productions, Sam has composed for television, streaming platforms and interactive media. His recent work includes the BAFTA-winning LEGO® Party video game, highlighting his versatility across genres. He is also a multiple APRA Screen Music Award nominee, recognised for his work on Nine Realms: Revolt (2024), LEGO Monkie Kid (2025) and A Portrait of a Postman (2025). His work is characterised by an expressive musical voice, strong melodic writing and a collaborative approach to crafting emotionally engaging scores for film, television and interactive media.

Notable credits include projects for Nintendo, LEGO® Party, Survivor, SBS (Hitler's Jewish Soldier), LEGO Monkie Kid (Season 5), Gordon Ramsay's Food Stars, Life Below Zero, Stars On Mars (US), Million Dollar Island, Under Investigation, the Vivid Sydney Light Festival, Triple J, MTV and more.

Sam won the APRA AMCOS Professional Development Award in Screen Music in 2025. He holds a Bachelor of Composition from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and a Bachelor of Audio Production from SAE. His musical journey began at the age of four with classical piano before transitioning to guitar at twelve. Throughout his teenage years, he performed in various rock bands while maintaining a strong foundation in classical music. Growing up in a musically diverse household inspired a lifelong fascination with a wide range of musical styles, and he is currently expanding his repertoire through the study of Gypsy Jazz under renowned guitarist Stéphane Wrembel.

Since releasing his original rock music in 2020, Sam has received support from Triple J, Triple J Unearthed, MTV, Aus Music Scene and The AU Review.

In 2022, Sam partnered with composer Rory Chenoweth to establish Epoch Music. Together they have composed original soundtracks for independent video games, including the APRA Screen Music Award-nominated Nine Realms: Revolt. Their work has also been broadcast nationally on ABC Classic and continues to reach listeners around the world.

Beyond his commercial work, Sam is passionate about music education and community engagement, contributing to tertiary education, industry presentations, mentoring, and volunteering his time on community music initiatives for young people.

Alongside his composing career, Sam remains an active musician in Sydney, performing weekly as a vocalist and guitarist while also working as a multi-instrumental session musician. He has performed original music at some of Sydney's best-known venues, including the Factory Theatre, The Metro Theatre, The Lair, Frankie's Pizza and the inaugural Sunsets Festival.

Sam continues to compose for screen, collaborate with filmmakers and game developers, and perform regularly throughout Sydney.
